Considered at the November Meeting of the Community Council. Resolved to comment that there is a need for additional passing places to cope with the additional traffic due to the narrowness of the lane. At present vehicles can have to reverse quite some distance and more passing places would help this.

Considered at the September meeting of the Community Council. Resolved to support the application for safety reasons - to allow safe exit from a vehicle into the property. Members also noted the comments of the Highways Section on this new, revised application and felt given the nature of the road to cite traffic travelling at the max  60mph speed was not realistic. They also pointed out however that they had previously asked for a speed limit on this road and this was not taken forward by PCC. Either the traffic is travelling at speed and so a speed limit would be sensible or it is not in which case this application would not be objected to by Highways.

VAR/2016/0003, application to modify section 106 legal agreement attached to planning permission PR616900 (occupancy restriction) at Meadow View, Evenjobb, Presteigne. Considered at the February 2016 meeting of the Community Council. Resolved that the Council has no objection provided that this applies to only the one dwelling and that the lifting of this restriction would not be a precursor to further additional development on the site. Members noted that the site plan indicated a large site, despite there being only one dwelling.

Considered at the February 2016 meeting of the Community Council. Resolved the Council objects to the application on the following grounds - the proposed access does not provide sufficient visibility and opens onto a narrow road which will impact on highway safety there is concern that the properties will impact on the visual landscape to the detriment of a beautiful area and that there is no indication of their proposed height the site is in close proximity to existing archaeological features and the medieval small village. In addition it was noted that no site notices appear to be on the site and the Council asks that these are immediately posted and that the public be given the full 21 days from the date of posting to comment. (Consulted as neighbouring Council). Considered at the December meeting of the Community Council: Resolved to object to the application on the following grounds - 1. The proposals will have a detrimental Impact to the landscape in a precious rural area 2. There will be significant unwanted impact visual impact to all 3. There will be a negative Impact on local residents 4. There is presently has very little modern infrastructure on the hillsides and approval of this application would set a precedent and lead to a proliferation of applications for turbines in the area. 5. Welsh Government has already identified areas it considers suitable for the siting of turbines. This site is not within one and is therefore outside the strategic search area
